Sometimes it seems that even the most mundane actions you take daily (from waking up in the morning, to brushing your teeth before bed at night) are inhibited by the harsh voice in your head. The one that says, "You can't do it. You can't."
Sometimes it feels like you're suffocating, from the sound of that voice, from the fear that it sounds just like your's.
In those moments (when all you see is dark, when all you can feel is empty, when all you hear is that "can't" voice in your head) remember this: You Are Not Broken. You are not broken.
You have to know: steady breathing does not come easy, but it does come. There will be a day when you wake up and bathe in the sun's warmth, there will be a time when this hurt is nothing more than a fading memory.
Until then, inhale. And exhale. Breathe. Know that you are loved, beyond belief.
Know that you are strong, know that you are whole - because you are, You Are Whole. Know that this isn't your fault. It was never your fault.
Know that your best is enough. Think back, and remember: you have already been through the worst day of your life - you can get through it again.
Know that You Can. You can, you can - You Can.
Know that things will get better. It may be dark now, but this is not the end.
